Can teachers use a variety of formats when gathering evidence to document student proficiency?
In order to develop a meaningful picture of each student’s abilities in terms of district-defined expectations, Anne needs to collect "bodies of evidence" that illustrates what each student knows and is able to do. To most effectively accomplish this she utilizes a variety of assessment techniques that give students an opportunity to "show what they know."
LearningTracker™ supports this process by allowing Anne to record data using any assessment approach (performance assessments scored using rubrics, content tests scored by percent correct, specific narrative comments, etc.). LearningTracker™ can combine information from all these assessments into overall scores using rules set by the school, district, or individual teacher, producing traditional course grades as well as achievement level scores on specific standards.
