Is it clear to teachers what standards/standards they are responsible for and what district resources are available to them? Do teachers have easy access to standards for planning instructional and assessment activities?
Anne Hemingway is responsible for providing instruction and assessment for a standard in literature and a standard in writing in her Language Arts II course. When she logs into CurriculumTracker™ she can access the standards that are to be assessed in her course. This allows her to focus on specific achievement targets as she develops lesson plans. Other locations display “best practices” and key teaching strategies specifically associated with the curriculum for this course.
The Performance Assessment & Benchmark Assessment modules support curriculum-based lesson/quiz creation. These lessons and quizzes can be combined to form units, shared with colleagues, submitted to contribute to the pool of best practice, and used in the LearningTracker™ gradebook.
